Sunset House

Singular. Within view of the Pacific Ocean, this 7,000 square foot residence occupies a highly visible and yet difficult triangular site between Sunset Boulevard and Marquez Street. As if on a seaward journey, the home is inspired by nautical cues but because of the site dimensions, an inward design was selected. All private spaces are therefore organized around an interior courtyard. With a built-in sauna, karaoke room, and an elevator, the large multi-story spaces are organized in five distinct and separate residential zones for private use by different members of the family.
